ABBADON INCARNATE
The lead singer and drummer are amateur historians the drummer being one of the founders of Craobh Chrua. They're from Dublin.

OLD SEASON Trained operatic vocalist and the guitar player runs a rehersal studio in gardener st.

WAYLANDER The lead singer is a studying archaeology etc in Queens University in Armagh their music is a combination of trad and metal.

SLAVE ZERO Guitar player is an Archaeologist they've just released their own CD

WARPATH Young lads who have been gigging constantly for the last year

ERA VULGARIS Guitar player is an archaeologist working on the Navan excavation sites he'll be bringing other archaeologists and laboureres to the gig

NEMISIS Younglads from Wexford doing celtic metal

Doors open at 5. Gig ends at 12.

Slave Zero and Era Vulgaris are both promoing their new albums.

There are two busses coming from the North of Ireland

A portion of the proceeds will go to support Camp 1 on the Hill of tara.

This is the first in a series of larger gigs being held to support save tara campaign. Another at Whelans is to be announced soon, and there are also weekly gigs with three acts at Dice Bar, Dublin every Tuesday from 9-11.30. Admission free.

Many band members are archaeolgists. But instead of giving a quote, they are speaking through their music. Many are under contract not to speak about their work, and others fear blacklisting.

"tara has been the political, ritual, and religious centre of Eire. The High Kings held it sacred, as they believed their divine ancestors where buried in the earthen mounds around it. Even through our countries darkest times in history, the valley has managed to remain untouched. tara, as it stands today, is a symbol of our unique collective history, heritage, and culture!
