Tarawatch are putting together an album of current & upcoming Irish artists to raise awareness and funds for the campaign opposing the proposed motorway through the lands at tara, Co. Meath. Among the acts already confirmed to contribute to the album are Kila, The Waterboys, (the late) Mic Christopher, Paddy Casey, Larry Beau, Camille O'Sullivan, Bray Vista Social Club, Indian, Celtic Legacy, Peatbog Faeries, Sick and Indigent Song Club and Fathom.

The album title, 'tara of the Kings' is based on the poem written by Pulitzer Prize winning poet Paul Muldoon, who has permitted Ronán Ó Snodaigh of Kíla to put it to music. Cover design will be by Jim Fitzpatrick and the album is expected to be released in early autumn. More acts are to be confirmed in the coming weeks and an official album launch is anticipated. A handpicked selection of acts from the tara Sessions will also be included on the album.
