Hi,

As most of you will already know The Body Shop are due to be taken over by French cosmetics giant L'Oreal (who test their products on animals), who in turn are part owned by one of the worlds most campaigned against companies Nestlé (who also carry out tests on animals). Although The Body Shop has had some what of a shady past in regards to its union related activities and claims of false advertising, it has remained in most peoples opinion the most ethical multinational around. Not anymore!

See www.boycottbodyshop.co.uk for more information.

So, as part of an international day of action against The Body Shop, on Saturday 1st of April, the Alliance For Animal Rights will be having 2 demonstrations in Dublin.

Starting 1pm at:

The Body Shop
2 GPO Building,
Henry Street,
Dublin 1.

Next demo starting 2pm at:

The Body Shop
82 Grafton Street,
Dublin 2.

Please do your best to make it to this event, and if you have any Body Shop store cards please bring them along as we plan to cut them up and return them. We will also be expecting some press coverage, so let's make these demos look powerful!!

If you are unable to attend, please take part by telephoning these stores to register your complaint and to pledge never to shop there again:

01 872 6454 (Body Shop on Henry Street) and 01 679 4569 (Body Shop on Grafton Street).

Many Thanks,

Laura Broxson
