This past Tuesday, January 31, concerned citizens from Philadelphia gathered together at Arch Street United Methodist Church to watch President Bush's State of the Union speech. Afterward, attendees and panel members Ed Schwartz from the Institute for the Study of Civic Values, Rev. James Allen from the Vine Street Memorial Baptist Church, Rabbi Avi Winokur from the Society Hill Synagogue and Sister Mary Scullion from Project H.O.M.E discussed their reactions to the President's speech.
