category dublin | history and heritage | event notice author Saturday January 21, 2006 12:14author by c murray - TaraWatchauthor email verbalnecessity at yahoo dot comauthor address n/aauthor phone 4978026 Report this post to the editors

Response to submissions by State and others.

The case resumes at eleven o clock ,in court
eleven on Tuesday morning.
The response to Meath County Council, the
NRA and the State continues.
Thank you to the campaigners, activists,
heritage group reps and historians who
have sat in court with us everyday.
The lack of opposition spokespeople is noted.
The case has been long and sometimes
the risible claims of the oppostion
have entertained everyone, I think the
intention was to bore us to death ,in one
particular case.
I have not been able to report here due
to constant interference with my line and the
loss of my regular e-mail address at
dotliath@eircom.net
If you can attend , please do.
A meeting to discuss the legal case and
other actions will be posted soon.
Chris.

It's over. Verdict in , March 1st 2006.
Not pre-empting but , the contention that of the 38 sites excavated revealed no National monument and the refusal to allow cross examination of expert witnesses on the discovery of two national monuments at barronstown and Collierstown, which means
section 14(a)4 could not be invoked is not good.
The complex is not considered an arcaheological landscape under current legislation and therefore no protections in law exsist to define it as a national monument.A national monument does not exsisit per se unless something is to be 'done with it'.
