In campaigning as a heritage group, you will face many difficulties in relation to dissemination of information regarding
planning laws. it's essential to keep in mind
that you are stewards of your landscape
and the deliberate abolition of duchas and
lack of any statutory enforcement agency
to protect your heritage, make it isolating
to campaign. I suggest you contact the
Tara Heritage Preservation Group for
information on citizen empowerment and
watch the media coverage of the Vincent Salafia Case beginning 12th january 2006.
It is essential to communicate with other
groups and campaign for state protection of National monuments, and against vested
interests.
