i wish not to slate republicans or those who wish to see the united 32 county of Ireland as i wish to see our country a united nation, but in today's "civilised?" world, there is no place for the glorification of armed revolutionaries ( like che guevara). Instead of forcing the republic, should we not try a policy of persuasion instead?

if you have something forced on you, would that not make you rebel further?

The man thought Mao was alright, laid a wreath at Stalins grave when the leaders of the Soviet Union wouldn't. He did not belive in mass action but a bunch of what was usually wollies isolated from everyone even their own supporters trying to kick off their and their only interpretation of revolution in countries where they had little or no grounding, Bolivia, Congo, Cuba to an extent. Thank god he's gone and maybe someday his image wil die too

Che operated in a certain context and time, and his tactics were used in that context. Just because we have thankfully reached a point in ireland where armed struggle is no longer necessary does not mean we have to shun those who used it in times and countries in the world where it was.
