Dáil Debate on WTO Hong Kong
Thanks to pressure from campaigners, there will be a Dáil debate on the Hong Kong Ministerial meeting of the World Trade Organisation. The debate is scheduled for Thursday December 1st. As the Dáil only notifies the time of debates a few days in advance, check on www.comhlamh.org where we will post the exact time once we hear it.

This is just the second time the Dáil will discuss the WTO. The first debate took place two years ago following a concerted campaign by NGOs.

You can attend the debate in the Dáil public gallery, but need to ask any TD to sign you in at the gate. Call your representative on 01-6183333. The more who attend, the more likely TDs are to put pressure on the government.

Understanding Hong Kong - an educational poster
Comhlámh has produced a poster communicating some of the trade offs involved in the WTO negotiations in Hong Kong. This can be collected at either the Dublin or Cork office or downloaded from http://www.comhlamh.org/pdfs/16_Hong%20Kong%20Scales%20poster%20Comhlamh.pdf
The poster may be freely copied, but please name the source.
