This ain't no SWP front. Sure, some of them are involved, but you can't really stop them getting involved. Plus they are definitely in the minority here. Perhaps, if come along on November 5th, you will see this for yourself, instead of having to take my word for it.
Because it's no use otherwise. That's what the SWP always say and nobody trusts anything they say for good reason.
If I knew who was behind it. Why no names? Is Des Derwin involved? Are anyother independent Tu or political activists involved in the organisation?
Oh do keep up pat c.
That article was posted last July. So its hardly a case of keeping up. It would help if some names had been attached to the present posting.
And there's more.
Thanks for the info. The last thing I want to do is attend a meeting and find out that its a front. Fighting off the glazed eyed paper sellers can be distressing.
Yes Des Derwin has been heavily involved with this right from the very start as have the likes of Ray O'Reilly IWU and Mick O'Reilly ATGWU. Hardly call them SWP? Or willing cannon fodder for an SWP front? Especially considering their own bitter experiences with the SWP. It would be great to see you there pat c given your own good knowledge of trade unions. Should be a real buzz there next Saturday given the bitter disputes in An Post and Irish Ferries which will and will have to involve many other workers outside of An Post and Irish Ferries (hint! hint!).
I didnt suggest it was a SWP front. I was curious as to who was organising it. If you're calling such a neeting it really would help to have names attached to it. I was ill for a few months so was a bit out of touch about this group. but i obviously wasnt the only one who had queries about it.
They should have said who was organising it before the meeting. If it were me thats what I'd have done. Sorry to hear that you werent well pat. Hope youre getting better.
