Carry that bag

category national | bin tax / household tax / water tax | event notice author Thursday October 20, 2005 12:36author by John Craxton Report this post to the editors

Richard and the Anti-bin tax are doing a great job.

The people of Blackrock are dumping their own rubbish into the bin truck.

We refuse to pay the double Bin Tax

We of Brookfield Place would like to thank Richard and the Comrades for helping us with our bins.

They are here every Friday rain or shine.

We are having a meeting on Tuesday October 25th., 6pm in Brookfield Place, Blackrock.

Please come along. Everyone welcome.

Perhaps one or two the councillors who represent the area might like to show up?

If not, don't bother asking for our votes next time.

I am loving the humour that seems to be affecting indymedia recently.
This cartoon character dishy Richard and the anti bin tax is a classic
I look forward to the next installment of how Richard singlehandly saves the world.
I hope he creates a political party soon who we all could join and help his crusade

After a morning saving the environment, Richard turns his attention to world peace.

From the Irish Times:

Earlier, the Irish Anti-War Movement (IAWM) said it would be contacting anti-occupation groups in Baghdad to try to secure Mr Carroll's freedom. IAWM chairman Richard Boyd Barrett said: "Rory Carroll is entirely innocent of any crime against the Iraqi people.

"We condemn this kidnapping and call on his captors to release him immediately. No cause will be served by keeping him in captivity or harming him in any way.

"As a journalist, he has attempted to provide balanced coverage of the Iraqi conflict and in many of the stories he has written has exposed the bloody reality of the war and occupation launched by George Bush and Tony Blair," he said.

.......

But what about Bird Flu Richard?

Does anyone have the details of RRB's court case in Athlone regarding the littering charge.

Can anyone tell us is he going to fight this or is he going to do a Chairman Kerian and pay the fine so that SWP and other fronts will be hampered even further in fighting campaigns.

I don't know who this Richard guy is? Is he a communist or something? It sounds from the story that he and "the comrades" are doing a good job if they are turning up every Friday to help these folks AND he is against the war in Iraq, so even if he is a communist, sounds like he should be congratulated rather than attacked - not many people would turn up week after week to help the environment in this way.
