Call to action by Tralee Anti-War Group.
The Fianna Fail Ard Fheis will be held at Gleneagle Hotel Killarney Saturday 22 October.
We are calling on anti-War activists to assemble there at 10am for a day of protests, leafleting etc. We are stressing the issue of torture planes landing at Shannon.

Jump To Comment: 1Members of Tralee Antiwar Group held a protest outside the Fianna Fail Ard Fheis in Killarney 22 October. Our presence focused on the issue of torture planes at Shannon.
Although told to enter a cordoned area by Gardai we remained outside of it (altho some way from the venue). Our banners featured the torture issue and also the US Military use of Shannon, and were noticed by the public who gave us some support.
We asked to see a representative of Minister Martin Cullen and we expressesd our concerns and we handed a letter of protest to his aides and asked for an aknowledgement. We were interviewed by local press and hope in these ways to keep the issues alive.
