Get informed about the Millennium Development Goals and Prepare for the National MPH Rally

On Thursday, June 30th, from 10.00 to 13.00, Cultivate hosts a Young People's Forum: "Exploring the Millennium Development Goals." From 13.30 to 14.30 we will be showing "The Student, the Nun and the Amazon." And from 14.30 to 18.00 there will be a Make Poverty History Convergence to prepare for the evening's MPH Rally.

These events are part of the Convergence 8 Festival, "Learning from Sustainability" at Cultivate Centre in Temple Bar. For a full schedule of events see http://www.sustainable.ie and feel free to contact us at ../mailto:convergence@sustainable.ie or at 01 674 6415.

The Convergence Sustainable Living Festival is Ireland's premiere event and networking opportunity for the individuals and organisations making sustainable development a reality. The festival provides a focused arena for sharing and discussing the inspirational ideas and projects at the leading edge of best practice and sustainable excellence.

Over the five years and seven festivals since Convergence began, thousands of participants and hundreds of visionary thinkers, artists and activists have been mutually inspired by the great work taking place around the world. Anyone interested in how we can transition to healthy, just and ecologicaly sustainable lifestyles and practices will find Convergence an experience not to be missed.

Convergence 8 is focused on “Learning for Sustainability” and is set in the context of the UN decade of Education for Sustainable Development, which runs from 2005 to 2014. The decade represents a huge opportunity to further the sustainability agenda and to promote the values, behaviour and lifestyles required for a positive transformation in society. Taking an integral approach, Convergence 8 will explore the learning needed to bring about these changes from an individual and collective perspective.
