Celebrating the 60th birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi (June 9, Dublin)

One of the world's most renowned political prisoners, Burma's pro-democracy leader, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, will celebrate her 60th birthday on June 19th.

Join us at a Café Night, jointly organised by Amnesty International and Burma Action Ireland, to celebrate her birthday and to send her birthday wishes from Ireland.

Daw Suu Kyi has been detained since late 2003 and has spent most of the past 14 years imprisoned or under house arrest.

Venue: Amnesty Freedom Café, Fleet St., Dublin 2
Date and time: Thursday 9th June at 7pm
Entrance Fee: euro 5/3

Burma Action Ireland Birthday Card Campaign for Daw Suu Kyi's 60th birthday.
In conjunction with the BAI/Amnesty Café night on June 9th, BAI will have a desk stationed in the Amnesty shop, over the course of the weekend (10th-11th June) and will continue to collect birthday messages of support for Daw Suu Kyi.

This birthday greeting initiative is part of a global campaign and your message would be gratefully appreciated. If you cannot make it to the Amnesty shop you can send your own birthday greeting to Daw Suu Kyi at the following address:
