The election of Respect’s George Galloway in the UK general election should be welcomed by the anti-war movement – not least because it is a product of that very movement. Opinions differ, of course, as to the wisdom of the Respect project and the calibre of Galloway himself. Be that as it may, this election result should be acclaimed.
