Belfast Unemployed Resource Centre, 45 - 47 Donegall Street, Belfast, 7.00pm

film tour of the Cuban / Irish film "Mission against Terror" and bringing the two film makers to Ireland to tour with the film.  The film will be shown in 7 venues all around Ireland during Latin American Week April 16 to 23.
The film describes the terrorist war against Cuba that has been covertly funded by the US government for the past 45 years, a terrorist war that has resulted in the deaths of almost 3,500 Cubans and the maiming of over 2,000.  A terrorist war where the terrorists are celebrated and protected by the US authorities and where their victims deaths are boasted about on the US media.  It describes the counter-terrorist actions of five undercover Cuban agents which resulted in the production of sufficient evidence to arrest and convict the US based terrorists but which, in stead, resulted in the capture, framing and jailing of the five Cubans by the US authorities.  The film blows the lid on Bush's "War on Terror" and shows him to be culpable in a policy of harbouring terrorists, funding terrorism and exporting terror.  There is one place on earth where it is safe to be a terrorist, where the state will protect you; fund you; train you.  That place is the United States of America.  This film tells that story.
