coming from an initiave from the grassroots gathering a new community garden in being created on a derelict wasteland in dolphins barn.
The large derlelict piece of land on the banks of the grand canal is across from dolphins barn public library. it seems to be owned by the factory it fronts?, it is about 200+ x 20 metres (@6000m.squared)
alongside the choosen space is another longer green space which is fully planted in communal alotment type garden
we are meeting at portobello bridge at 6.30 and walking along the canal to arrive at the garden at 7pm where we will be met by the tree walkers who will carry out the tree planting ceremony
we will meet again in the garden at 6.30 on thursday and after this we will head to seoidíns shop for a chat and a bite to eat
tonight will be to see who turns up and what people want to do; the start of the process
