Jump To Comment: 1The war in Rwanda was a war between the US and France for control of the Congo. There was no govt planned genocide in Rwanda. The US and British backed RPF Tutsi army from Uganda invaded Rwanda, killed two million Hutus and when the Hutus fought back and killed a lot of Tutsis they are condemned as genocidaires while the RPF is now acting as the US proxy force in the Congo and has killed millions there too. The myth that the west did nothing in Rwanda is one of the biggest cover-ups of Anglo-US interference in Africa or anywhere else in the world since the dawn of history. The US also used the UN forces in Rwanda under Canadian general Dallaire to front for its support for the Tutsis and helped shoot down the plane which killed the two Hutu presidents of Rwanda and Burundi.
For the left in Ireland to accept the US propaganda that the RPF were the goodguys is like stating the SS was acting in self-defence when they murdered the Jews. It is absurd and shows how the trotskyite left always supports imperialism while crowing aout "human rights". They shouldnt hold talks like this when they dont know what they are talking about. Disgusting.
This will only add more support for the military dictatorship in Rwanda which has privatized a semi-socialist economy, which murders Hutus on a daily basis, runs death camps to kill the Hutu population and permits the US to build bases in the heart of Africa to control the resources of the people of Africa.
If you want to really know who is repsonsible for all the dead in Rwanda ask Bill Clinton and John Major. They are up to their necks in the blood of the people of both groups Tutsi and Hutu alike.
For those who want to know what really happened in Rwanda I suggest Robin Philpot's "It Didn't Happen Like That in Kigali, Honore Ngabanda's Organised Crimes In Central Africa and any book by Charles Onana.
Lastly, I leave you with the words of the Secretary-General of the UN during that period, Boutros-Boutros Ghali who states "The Americans are 100% responsible for what happened in Rwanda."
