T.O.D.A.Y's First Meeting!!

The Organisation of Dublin's Activist Youth(TODAY) will have it's first meeting on the 2nd of April 2005. We will be meeting at 2:30pm outside the Grafton Street Entrance of St.Stephen's Green.

This is a mass callout to ALL politically minded teenagers, who want to take further and more direct action against such issues as war, racism and animal cruelty.

Our Points of Unity:

1. We believe in actively fighting fascists and racists in our community. We will paint over racist graffiti, take down racist stickers and posters and wherever fascists organise we will be there. We believe that we have to confront Irish groups such as the Immigrant Control Platform and the Celtic Wolves before they can build and organise on a mass scale.

2. We are against the illegal occupations of Iraq and Palestine and we will join any worthy protests and direct action events against them.

3. We are against the abuse of animals whether it's foxhunting, animal testing or the fur trade. We support direct action against these inhumane activities by groups such as the Hunt Saboteurs Association.

4. We support the freedom struggles of Catalonia, the Basque Provinces, Palestine, the Kurds and other regions who live under oppressive and dictatorship regimes. We do not believe in ultra or reactionary nationalism, just that all countries should live free from oppression and unjust governments.

5. We believe that the youth of Ireland and over the world must unite and fight against all types of oppression, racism, sexism, fascism, imperialism, chauvinism, and war.

All are welcome, do not feel shy or afraid, come on your own or bring all your friends!

Due to some bad planning on our part, we only realise now that Grassroots Gathering 9 and a Anti- Deportations demo are also being planned for the same day.

We will be at the protest and hopefully at some stage will drop into the Grassroots Gathering.

Please may these two other events not draw people interested from our meeting.

We hope to see you there!

Thank You...

Sam

I see they support the occupied countries of Palestine,Euskal Herria and Catalunya.

Why is there no mention of Ireland? There are currently 12,000 British soldiers armed to the teeth in the 6 occupied counties of Ireland accordind to the IMC.

There is only 8,000 in Iraq!

I'd support the group only for that.

Would communism and political correctness fall under the definition of oppression?

Stupid armchair 'white nationalists' with nothing better to do, lash out and attack T.O.D.A.Y. Some say they might come to the meeting.

We say bring it on! There's way more of us than them.

NO PASARAN,

So Michael, who do you think it is a front for?

Really, I'm curious.

My guess is RSF.

We are not a front for any organisation or movement.

Come down to the meeting and 'check us' out if you want.

It would be great to sort out some confusion that is surrounding us!

I love how the stormfront types are all talk about showing up to a meeting of teenage activists, yet have never had the balls to come to any other left wing meeting ever.

Brave lads.

Good luck with the meeting lads.
