several arrested in a 'Faith Resistance' Civil Disobedience
On Wednesday afternoon, 29 December 2004 Dorothy Day Catholic Workers of Washington DC and Jonah House of Baltimore, Maryland held a 'Faith Resistance' in front of the White House in protest against the Iraq war resulting in several arrests.
On Wednesday, 29 December 2004, under the banners of 'Our Hands Are Full of Blood' and 'We Mourn All Victims of War' 50 - 75 demonstrators gathered in front of the White House in Washington DC for a 'Faith Resistance' in protest against the United States war and occupation in Iraq.
The demonstration would began with a Silent Vigil in front of the White House's Press Gate. It would later seperate into two groups. The US Park Police would direct the larger crowd across Pennsylvania Avenue to Lafayette Park. Where they would pray, chant and cheer on the remaining demonstrators..
Perhaps 5 that would stage a non-violent civil disobedience in front of the White House and as a result would be arrested.
