Ban Fur Farming Peaceful Protest
All Welcome

BAN FUR FARMING PEACEFUL PROTEST - all welcome!

FRIDAY 3rd DECEMBER 2004

OUTSIDE THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, KILDARE STREET, DUBLIN 2

FROM 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

At the protest we will ask Agriculture Minister Coughlan to accept our petition to "Ban Fur Farming in the Republic of Ireland", signed by thousands of people.

In the Republic of Ireland there are 6 mink farms and 2 farms with fox. In total there are about 140,000 mink and 1,700 silver and Arctic fox. Bred on the farm, these essentially wild animals live in rows of small barren cages until they are killed at about 6 months old. Killing takes place over the winter. Mink are gassed, many fox are electrocuted. Fur farming is already illegal in Northern Ireland, Britain and Austria and is being phased out in Italy. Fox farming is being phased out in the Netherlands and Sweden.

ALL THIS SUFFERING, JUST FOR FASHION.

Please help us to BAN FUR FARMING in the Republic of Ireland by coming to our protest.
