so i went with dunc on his wander, it was like being a tourist in your own city...

visiting the open green and water spaces in the city

we walked along the canal noting how as the new buildings get built around the basin, noting in parts how no room is being left for public access to the canals and further down the canals fences have been put up, im sure there have many calls for the tow paths to remain open but soon you won't be able to walk along the canal uninterrupted on either side

there actually a good book by joss lynam in the ilac centre library describing some very pleasents walks across the city via its parks and canals

we went to have a look at some of the lesser well known parks in the city one i'd found was the kevin str park, but all it gates we're locked both times i went there.. it right beside dit kevin street is there way in that way?

we stopped by the st andrew resource centre where the food co-op is ,down pearse str never been there before... it was busy with people buying vegetables and some clothes.. and we ate a spicy lunch there

i noted passing a building at the five lamps that even more ads had been put on a derelict building on the corner, like many abandoned buidling round the city you wonder if they are buildings or billboards..
( thankfully on the opposite corner a large new communtiy centre is being built)

that evening we joined the paddy mirage crew at the excise bar for casino which was very enjoyable actually and good idea for a fun raiser once you get the ticket price right...

again i have to you encourage to check out the plans for the idea of recreating the newgrange solistice event in the middle of the american desert an exceptional beautiful idea...
