Iraq Newspaper Editor denied entry to ireland for scheduled IAWM Talk

Cut and paste from Unison.ie - requires registration - this seems important -

A Syrian national who was due to give an address in Dublin tonight has been refused entry to the country. Dr Ibrahim Allawi who is the editor of a Baghdad newspaper had been due to speak on day-to-day life for ordinary people during the US-led occupation of Iraq. However Immigration Gardai are threatening to put him on a flight back to London if he fails to obtain a valid visa for Ireland. The Irish Anti-War Movement which has organised the visit has said it is an attempt to silence critical views on American foreign policy ahead of George W Bush's arrival in Ireland.

get a web cam.
borrow a PC monitor.
fo a link with him.
or else fly him to Northern Ireland someone drive him to the border.
If the place an exclusion order on him from within the UK so that he may not enter NI all the better agit-prop.
You surely can find a cheap flight to Belfast?
You surely can organise a IT connection?
milk this.

"by saving Iraq you save the World, without victory for the Iraqi People there will be darkness in the World".

Dr Allawi, Alghad newspaper
a pro-US/K statement made to the UK parliament select comitee. Do you do select commitees Mikey? Or do just do kettles?

Dr Allawi is well documented at this site :-
http://www.idao.org/public-meeting.html
( Iraqi Democrats Against Occupation )

This man is on the US wish list.
They like him. Yet the Irish authorities already attracting international criticism for a racist referendum "to close a loophole" which could easily have been covered by existing legisliation has chosen to refuse him access.

Mikey? what's up with you, where did the liberalism go? Dr Allawi spent most of his career in exile, seeking support from regimes like yours, he has (like many activists and unlike you Mikey) survived assasination attempts. Long after a dodgily made electronic transponder unit with certain kettle like software parts within was used in his country, he returned.
And now you will be responsible for barring "the successors to Saddam from Ireland of the welcomes"?

Oh dear, it looks like we're going to publish the kettle calling the pot black serial numbers next week complete with invoices and orders.

Is it the bolshevik connection to the invite that gets you?

So does he actually have a Visa organised or had he one organised, or was he expecting to just walk into a foreign country without proper identification and essential items??

This man is on a long CIA list of "non-approved" journalists. CIA operatives contacted the Irish govt and "requested" that he be denied a visa.

Until Ireland gets out of the clutches of the American imperialists it should be treated as a pirana state.

as of 19h30 your time.
according to unison.
ya esta.
we'll say nothing more about the kettles then.
I haven't read it, I'm not cookie-ing today.

Noel Conroy, the current Garda Commissioner boasts on his CV that he attended some FBI school for European police stooges. He "graduated" with honors or something... they gave him his own collar with "America's best friend" on a shiny brass plate.

What's the point of Mr Dubsky's last posting? Is this the best level of debate he's capable of?

author by Deirdre Clancypublication date Wed Jun 09, 2004 20:00author address author phone Report this post to the editors

What's the point of Curious's posting? Is this snideness the only level of commentary he/she/it is capable of?

It is clear Dubsky was merely conveying a point of information about our policing hierarchy in light of the depressing news item above, rather than trying to engage in debate.
