Prime minister Berlusconi has answered questions on the news of new security features at his Sardinian Home
He has said :-
"non c'è nessun bunker segreto in Sardegna" = "there is no secret bunker in Sardinia".
Well there is no longer a secret bunker @ Silvio's house, but we can't exactly say that Sardinia no longer boasts either secret bunkers or tunnels, or even an impressive multi-billion installation.
¿can we?
Sardinia is about the size of Israel, or Lake Michigan depending on your psycho-geographical orientation, you might feel more celtic, strong limbed sharp of mind, quietly superior with of course blue eyes and not a bit of 'ginger' in your beard, and prefer to consider Sardinia to be the size of Leinster and a goodly part of Munster.

Tomorrow the 44º president of the USA will arrive in Rome. It is quite probable that after the ceremonies (which began this afternoon to mark the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Rome by the 5th- U.S. Army, Mr Bush will accompany Mr Berusconi to his Retreat on the island of Sardinia.
