Public Meeting

Tues 6th of April at the Menlo Park Hotel, Terryland, Galway

On May Day this year we welcome 10 new member states into the EU. On the same day an EU summit is to be held in Dublin at Farmleigh House, where the current member states will, (amongst other things), make decisions which will finalise the unification of EU security and foreign policies. May Day this year is a date of no return in the history of Ireland and the EU, with ramifications that will touch every corner of the world, and concern all of us.

At this crucial point in time, ‘No one is Illegal’ is a public meeting which seeks to provide a non-racist platform for members of the community to share information, and experiences, to ask questions and explore;
- the issues surrounding the enlargement of the EU
- the past and future effects of Fortress Europe,
- the reasons behind EU security and foreign policies
- and how these things effect us locally and globally.

Invited speakers include:
Triona Ni Choille from Galway Refugee Centre
Rosanna Flynn from Dublin’s Residents against Racism,
Sean Regan from Ireland’s National anti-poverty network,
Paul Osykoja who is currently run for the Local elections in Galway.

All welcome!
