The Supreme Court has overturned a High Court ruling in relation to the destruction of the medieval Carrickmines Castle site in South Dublin and has granted protestors the right to take a judicial review.
The appeal will centre on whether the Minister for the Environment, Martin Cullen, acted within the law when he granted consent for the destruction of the site.
Conservationists will return to the Supreme Court tomorrow in the hope of securing an injunction preventing Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Council and the National Roads Authority conducting any further work at the site until a determination is reached on the appeal.
I'M SO DAMN HAPPY I'M WRITING IN CAPS.
Hopefully Mick Mulcreevy will get his rights as a citizen seen to.
This would include;
Not having to pay for litigation costs.
Suing the arse off the Evening Herald for invasion of privacy.
If Mick is reading this, Jeff says hi! You'll know me if I remind you that;
I knew you from the Garden of Delight a few years back, and last saw you in Galway three years back, when I'd just started at college. We managed to get into the GPO that time ferra a few beers. Cheers!
