There will be a meeting under the banner of "Another Europe is Possible" in the Menlo Park Hotel, at 8pm on January the 7th in Galway.
This meeting will be taking a critical look at certain, neo-liberal, policies of the EU such as militarisation and privatisation and proposing an alternative view of doing things. This meeting is taking place at a critical time in Galway as there will be an informal meeting of Ministers for Employment and Social Affairs taking place in Galway between the 15th-17th of January.
I will post up a list of speakers when I have the full list confirmed.

You forgot to invite Joe Carolan, Globalise Resistance; Brid Smith, Anti Nazi League; and Kieran Allen, lecturer at UCD!
Brid Smith is usually Dublin Anti Bin Tax Campaign, Dr. Kieran Allen is a Sociology Lecturer, Joe Carolan or Rory Hearne are Globalise Resistance, and Richard Boyd Barrett is usually IAWM. They leave Kev Wingfield with the SWP title after his name.
Another example of the SWP abandoning Socialism. Why is the title of this meeting not For a Socialist Europe, for example. SWP are slowly but surely falling behind the USFI driven liquidationist agenda of abandoning Marxism, along with the SSP, LO and the LCR!
Kevin Wingfield is not SWP, he is one of Ballymun / whitehall / Glasnevin / Coolock anti-bin tax campaign / housing action campaign / ANL / IAWM / Housing Action Campaign / Health Action group (depending on which planet the moon is in).
For the sake of Unity?
After all, left Unity is apparently quite important to them?
But then, so is hypocracy.
Whatever ye do, don't forget to vote YES in any future referendums on the subject ....
It's an awful bloody drag having to repeat them when ye don't get ít right first time round .....
Yes, unfortunate that they still have to be told twice, but they always were a bit contrary.
It's an Irish solution to an Irish problem, or to put it another way, it's the Irish contribution to modern democracy.
God knows, for eight-hundred years we tried to civilise them, and they are still occasionally inclined to be a bit uppity. Good to see that it is finally beginning to sink in.
This must be a mistake about Boyd Barrett speaking for the IAWM. This invitation was never mentioned at steering committee meetings, so how can he represent the IAWM? (We know this from the published minutes, or are they only half the story?) Or does RBB have carte blanche to do and go where he likes in the name of the IAWM?
