Re: 'THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED'

The Directors' Cut of this award-winning documentary (shown on RTE under the title CHAVEZ: INSIDE THE COUP) will be screened in An Taibhdhearc on Thursday night, 13 November, at 8 pm. Film-maker DONNCHADHA O BRIAIN will introduce the film, and answer questions about it. (Thanks, Donnchadha)

The internationally-acclaimed film documents the dramatic events surrounding the failed 2002 coup against the democratically-elected president Hugo Chavez of Venezuela.

Admission is €5 (€3 concession), Proceeds will go the work of the Galway Alliance Against War. For more on the film, see www.chavezthefilm.com

While in Galway, Donnchadha O Briain will be giving his support to the DFSAA campaign against the proposed city by-laws which will restrict campaigning / political activity. If you wish, you may join Donnchadha and DFSAA activists at their stall outside Moon's / Brown Thomas at 1 pm on Thursday.
