Quick report on blockades around Dublin.

First Fingal:

As usual the Council have been trying to avoid going into huge swathes of Fingal, knowing that they won't get their bin trucks back for some time.

Today two bin trucks wandered into working class areas and they are currently under solid blockades in West Dublin. They have been there all day and there is no sign of residents letting them go.

South Dublin:

The Council sent out a single truck to implement non-collection, the others were collecting all rubbish as normal.

The non-collection truck was hitting Knocklyon with inspectors preceding it with the red stickers. The South Dublin campaign quickly located the truck and placed it under a blockade.

The blockade lasted until a little before One this afternoon, when the bin workers gave a commitment to return to the depot for the rest of the day.

Scouts are out and about looking for any more sneaky attempts at non-collection.

Remember to watch out for anyone putting stickers on bins. If you see any remove the stickers and contact the campaign.

City: I don't have full details yet, but I have been informed that at least one solidarity blockade took place today.
