Vigil for the victims of war and terrorism.

MAMA will hold a vigil on Thursday for all the innocent victims of terrorism (aka war).
We will remember those who died in New York, Chile, Iraq, Afganistan,Japan,Ireland, the UK,Germany, and all the other wars and terrorist acts.

MAMA's next meeting is on Tuesday 7:30 Halla Ide, 18 Thomas Street, Limerick.

Midwest Alliance against Military Aggression, the local anti-war group are planning to mark the anniversary of Sep 11th with an event remembering all the innocent people who have perished in acts of terror worldwide.
The group plan to float candle-lit "Peace Lanterns" down the river Shannon at 8pm, on Thursday September 11th.
The "Peace Lantern" idea originated in Japan following the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings.
The lights on the dark river symolise life and hope as well as being a tribute to the lives that have been extinguished by terrorism.
Everyone is invited to attend and participate. Lanterns will be floated from a boat and from the park on Clancy strand and anyone who wants to help or make a bio-degradable lantern can contact the group on 087-9080547
