Prisoners held at HMP Maghaberry took to the roofs, in protest at overcrowding. Loyalists and republican prisoners staged a joint rooftop protest against conditions inside the prison. Prisoners took to the rooftops at the Roe house wing of Maghaberry. The protest coincided with a bombscare in the same wing of Maghaberrry.
A couple of weeks ago, a pipe bomb was thrown at the Maghaberry prisoner Governor as he went on a tour of his prison. Prisoners are campaigning against overcrowding and prison conditions.
