BLATANT USE OF SHANNON AIRPORT by the NAVY

Can Westair please answer a few questions.

Haven't got the aricraft details yet, if anyone else saw them, please post it here.

Last December, at the Westair hangar, there was a clearly marked C-20g jet with the words US Navy
on the side. that jet belonged to the 48th Fleet Logistics Squadron.
Last week, two medium sized personnel transporters also marked US Navy turned up at the Westair hangar.

Is this part of bush's 'War on terrorism' or does an aeronautics company in the west of Ireland somehow have a sweet deal to refit and maintain a bunch of US Naval jets?

Westair mostly does business jets and corporate helicopters.
The C-20G was probably being serviced by FBO, and parked out by the Westair hangar.

FBO office is in the terminal.
They recently serviced the US Marine KC-130 hercules aircraft, spotted at Shannon Friday 19th April.

Anybody know anything about FBO?

I'm tired of hearing people complain about us military aircraft in ireland.We should offer are support and stop having our heads stuck in the ground over our neutrality, which in my view is wrong anyway.I'm glad to see some us military aircraft using Irish airports and airfields.

If you're so tired of 'hearing' complaints about the US, why do you keep reading them? Why aren't you using your real name if you believe so strongly in Bush's military response?
And tell me what use our support is?

Has it brought Osama Bin Laden to justice?
Has it brought back the dead in New York, Pennsylvannia or the Pentagon?

Or has it simply killed 3,500 Afghans in blind vengance?
Remember that the hijackers were Saudis not Afghans. But the US and Saudi are allies. Saudi Arabia is a wealthy oil rich state. Afghanistan is a poor country with droughts and famines, only useful to put a pipeline from Turkmenistan to Pakistan (deal agreed last week).
Can the carpet bombing of third world countries be called justice?

Justice cannot be dispensed from 10,000ft up by bombers. Bombs just kill whoever happens to be on the ground.
Peasants, children, homeless refugees, or Al queda, it doesn't discriminate.

"Y" you can keep your head in the sand if you like. But if you don't want to see the truth, why do you bother logging on?
