An alliance of anarchists in Cork ran an anti-general election campaign during the recent Dail elections. The campaign involved members of the WSM, the ASF and the independent Cork Anarchists. At the outset, the campaign put as its aim to 'use the elections to highlight anarchists ideas' A leaflet was drawn up that set out anarchist ideas and our criticisms of capitalism, arguing from that the current elections offered most people no real choice. Jump To Comment: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8well done to all. By encouraging people not to vote, you helped secure another five years of a Fianna Fail / PD coalition. Good job lads.
Because what you can't see in those posters is the bit that says 'DON'T VOTE (unless you plan to vote for FF or the PD's in which case go right ahead)'
Maybe next time the Cork anarchists will learn from your criticism, and produce posters that say 'DON'T VOTE (unless you plan to vote for FG or Labour - those guys are really great)'
Don't vote, and let a fucking Nazi into the second round of the election!
Yah! Whoo! Stuff sucks!

Fight fascism! Vote Labour!
of course, if a fascist candidate runs here we should all go campaign for the candidate most likely to defeat the fascist -
Fight Fascism! Vote Bertie!
heres a slogan why do anarchists waste their time!
Whilst I agree with the sentiment of your anti-election article I would like to point out one inaccuracy. My name is Noel OFlynn, not Joe- anyone will tell you- honest!
