Planned Protest Against British Military Presence in Six Counties
This is just to flag up the last weekend in June as the date for a demilitarisation protest in the Fermanagh area (More details closer to the date and the specific installation being targetted is being kept confidential until the day for security reasons) The Saturday will include a series of educationals and workshops with a function that night with the actual protest the next day. The presence of British military bases remains one of the most provocative issues for local people and a concrete symbol of British imperialism. All are welcome to come and further info can be found by making contact with Ográ Shinn Féin.

Jump To Comment: 1For centuries Ireland has been the testing ground for imperialist strategies and tactics. As the Anglo-American Empire strives to control the world economy Ireland is still a key weak link in that endeavour. The most obvious manifestation of imperialism's control of Ireland is the British military presence and these protests and demonstrations against that presence should be supported by all radicals and by all who are opposed to the 'globalization' that is imperialism's economic strategy.
