NATO Headquarters Could Be Moved

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Friday June 13, 2003 00:10author by Raymond McInerney

Ok I haven't talking to any Belgium people to heard their viewpoint on having NATO headquarters in their country. I'm sure there are a number of people in Belgium that would love to see the day that NATO packed its bags and moved on. In the light of this, the Belgium people should prevent their government in changing the law to put foreigners on trial for war crimes.

... to protect the civilized world from the Americans. The world needs a global military alliance against the US and perhaps NATO could provide this if the US were to be evicted from NATO. The US should also be evicted from the UN, and the UN headquarters should be moved to Geneva.

The world should make it absolutely, crystal clear to the American people that that belligerent arrogance on war, the environment, social justice, etc will have serious consequences. This will be good for Americans, becasuse they would clearly prefer to learn their lessons through restictions on trade, travel, investment than by the Bin laden method, effective as that it...

And will anyone else be evicted? Like Burma? North Korea? Zimbabwe?

Maybe what we need to do is dissolve NATO and enter into a new alliance with the Russians or Chinese.

We'll see how those Belgians rethink their attitudes then.

It's not being used and I'm sure their war-ciminals would be safe from prosecution there! It's an equal opportunity employer!

considering that the US fees to UN are unpaid for years and that the people attacked have always had to pay reparitions in settlements, the rest of the world will continue to pay!

'If we're 'evicted' from the UN, who will pay the bills?'

huh??

it was the USA that hadn't paid its near $1 billion debt for years.

I'm not sure what the current status of this debt is now, Clinton could never get passed Sen Helms' veto - Bush may have paid some to get the UN to swallow the pill and bribe it for war, but i doubt it. I know that Sen Jesse Helmes finally gave the go ahead to pay this off - but I wonder if the moeny ever got there.

Yes and I heard that they are looking for a 'neutral' place to built the new one. Any ambitions to become host of Nato. You can have it.

All because some hard-line Belgian stalinists decided to sew Bush senior, Powell, etc..... (a week before the Belgian elections)

Of course it is not politcal. ;)
