The Slate!

Irelands No.1 Mag

I'm an avid reader of the slate and enjoy its cut throat sarcasm along with filthy toilet humour! It would be really great in the circumstances to get a reply on indymedia from the author or the editor about the recent bullshit controversy over the 'smash capitalism' piece. Even just a few words to keep the 'pigs at bay'as they say!

Notice the Slate on the 9 o'clock news today? Garda citing it's "Joy of Rioting" article in defense of the claims that many supporters last monday were of the subversive vein and going on to mention the whole riot piss take in the thing as being some sort of how-to for civil disobediance.

Is it possible such wit is lost on the dour denizens of store street? Or are they just looking for any excuse?

If it wasn't for the slate,I wouldn't have gone out last Monday. As a subversive, I need to be told where to go and what to do. If it says it in print, then by god I'll do it.
Thanks to the Gardaí for pointing out how us subverts work. But now that they know our plan, what'll we do now?
Can't fool them clever Templemore graduates at all. They've got brains the size of my head,I tell ya.

Maybe the Gardaí around Pearse Street have been doing a bit of reading prior to baiting the bejaysus out of women and kids. Modern Warrior -http://www.mwarrior.com - has handy tactics on how to use a baton. Now if these vicious criminal subversives had just gotten themselves some real jobs instead of loitering around on our streets last Monday, and hadn't been reading this none of this would have happened.

I'm trying to get a good account of exactly what was on the news last night at 6 and 9 in relation to the RTS and the article in the Slate. If anyone could tell me that would be excellent. What exactly did the Gardai say? What was the overall impression? Did the tone change between 6 and 9?

There seems to be some notion going around that the people at the RTS are jobless layabouts ???
I have a 'real' job as you put it, I was at the RTS and anybody that I knew at the RTS party that day were all employed in 'real' jobs as well. This day was a bank holiday and us corporate hoares had the day off to enjoy ourselves. A lot of us were there to show that we are not happy at the way OUR taxpaying money is being used only to get assaulted by the people we halp pay to protect us.
