I've just heard a report from the court cases arising from the mass tresspass in Shannon last October (see link for report). Very heavy fines haved been handed down.
Most people were fined E350, one Cork activist was fined E700 and another was fined a whopping E3,150 and given a jail sentence, though this was commuted to 6 weeks community service.
Around 150 of us went onto the airfield at Shannon that day, the state has decided to punish a fairly random 10 people for what happened. I think its up to the 140 of us in particular to make sure the paying of these fines is not left to the individuals whop happened to be arrested that day.
