Dublin Sinn Féin has organised a number of events to commemorate the 87th anniversary of the Easter Rising and all those who have given their lives for Irish independence since then. Wear a lily this Easter.

Easter Thursday 17th April 2003
Public Meeting: 8.00pm Liberty Hall
Speakers: Aengus O Snodaigh TD, Ali Halimeh (Palestinian Ambassador to
Ireland), Ella O Dwyer (Author, “The Rising of the Moon”), Iraqi human
Rights Activist. Chaired by Anne Speed.

Friday 18th April 2003
1916 Rebellion Walking Tour of Dublin conducted by Míchael MacDonnacha
and Aengus O Snodaigh TD.
Meet 1.00pm GPO, O’Connell Street

Friday 18th April
1981 Hunger Strike Perpetual Trophy 5 – A- side Soccer Tournament
Venue: Eamonn Ceannt Memorial Park, Sundrive Road, Crumlin. Taille €25

Easter Commemoration 1916 – 2003 Binn Éadair
Howth Assemble 2.30pm East Pier, Howth
Speaker: Seán Crowe TD
Refreshments afterwards in Pier House.

Easter Sunday Commemoration 20th April
Assemble 1.30pm, Liberty Hall – music, song and pageant
March to Glasnevin Cemetery
Main speaker: Caoimhghín O Caoláin TD.

Post Commemoration Function
Easter Sunday with the Wolfe Tones Derek Warfield and the sons of Erin
Band in the Sidewalk Bar, Cathal Brugha Street. Doors open 6.00pm.
Taille €10.00. Guest speakers and Republican Flute Bands.

Easter Monday 21st April
Assemble 2.30pm Bakers Corner and march to Deansgrange Cemetery.
Speaker Sinn Féin General Secretary Robbie Smith.

Assemble at the Garden of Remembrance, 11.30am for march to the GPO, Easter Sunday. Wreath laying ceremonies at Glasnevin on Easter Sunday and Deansgrange on Easter Monday. Both 1pm.
