New Radio Station
A COMMUNITY radio station will broadcast for the month of May from Ballyfermot. To be called Ballyfermot Area Access Radio, the station has yet to be allocated a wavelength.
Marian Butler from Palmerstown who is Programme Controller said the intention is to apply for a full licence but the initial one month period is seen as a test run.
She said: “We will have a full programme for broadcast but we would love to hear from anybody who might be promoting events in the Ballyfermot and Palmerstown area.”
The station will be based in Ballyfermot Civic Centre and reception is expected to spread as far as Lucan, in addition to the local area.

I only skimmed the press release and didn't read about wavelength not being allocated. Smug sarcasm hereby retracted.
