Thousands heading for Hillsborough......
Early indications are that thousands of Irish, British and international peace activists are aiming to descend upon Hillsborough Castle on the outskirts of Belfast in Northern Ireland over the coming days. People are travelling from across Europe as word spreads that known war criminal and pretender to the presidency of the United States, George W. Bush is likely to seek refuge within this high security facility. Sources indicate that that this visit will include an attempt to distract attention from his ongoing illegal military actions by interference with a long running peace process.
At a grassroots level, organising is now underway. The first non-violent direct action training and legal briefing is due to BEGIN SUNDAY EVENING @ 5PM in GIROS, 1-5 Donegal Lane, Belfast (off Donegal St. opposite the Front Page bar).
Crash space is available, bring sleeping bags.
So far the largest planned action begins at Hillsborough at 6pm on Monday evening. As the pretender Bush likes to get to sleep by 9.30pm everyone is being encouraged to bring POTS AND PANS, BIN LIDS, LAMBEG DRUMS and anything that's likely to bring a sense of shock, awe and the sound of freedom to interrupt his beauty sleep.

Anyone stuck in Belfast on monday night after the protest is welcome to stay at my house. Class war, anarchists, republicans and punks preffered.
On RTE News earlier tonight they said that the protestors would be corralled into the carpark of the shopping centre. They also said that there was a McDonalds. Can RTE be charged with incitement?
are we really gonna be stuck 2 miles from hillsborough far away from poor old georgie for fear he may see what real irish people think of him? Its a fucking disgrace, cops are ensuring we wont get near him to wage our protest. ITS OUR RIGHT!!!
RTE news reported that Bush will be arriving today at RAF Fairford.
I presume he'll be leaving from there as well.
Any plans to protest there tomorrow when Bush is leaving ?
I heard a report that he would be leaving Belfast on Tuesday by mid - afternoon. ?.
Has there been any more specific details of the War Summit timetable ?
I understand that BushBlairAhern will be in Belfast tomorrow meeting pro-Friday parties.
Where ? From what time ? How long will the meeting last ? How far from the meeting is RAF Fairford ?
Dear European friends,
As an American by birth, (with Irish roots), I am deeply ashamed, outraged and embarassed by my country's inconscionable terrorist attacks on Iraq. I fully support and join you in your expressed outrage aaginst Gearge Bush and his cronies (as well as Blair and his). Even though I am a US citizen, Bush is not my president, these are not my foreign policies, and there are millions of Americans who feel the same way as I do.
I hope you know that, in spite of US media's attempt to hide it from the world and its own people, the dissent here in the US is strong and organized and powerful. Yet the power of our collective voices against the war is systematically disregarded by our country's leaders and media. The media is the mouthpiece of the Pentagon, the astrocities the US military are committing for the benefit of the welathy few are being ignored and even blamed on Iraqis.
My country is rapidly losing its own democracy and civil rights as our social, economic, and health care systems crumble, and as we continue to pay for the war and benefit the wealthy with human blood, taxes, and our basic rights. New York City has become a police state. Laws are being proposed in Oregon to make it a crime punishable by 25 years in prison for public assembly--the very right that is in our own constitution and bill of rights. Our country is actively decaying at home while we wreak havoc abroad. Let us all hope and pray that this is just the beginning of the fall of the evil US empire---before any other countries are "liberated"--into eternity that is.
Keep fighting the US and Bristish powers that be, and working for positive social change, as we keep doing that here. Please accept this gesture of solidarity as we work together to create a just and sane society. Show the world what we think of Bush, the greed and war crimes of America. Know that we American peace activists and educators will not stand by as our country's out of control fascists try to rule the world.

I too an American born, Irish roots. Ditto to everything she said! Don't let the U.S. propeganda fool ya, we ARE protesting in the millions! Thank God for Indymedia, and other outlets like it so people can get the truth!
