Jump To Comment: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7I notice SF in Fermanagh supprt Hayes while SF in Tyrone oppose Hayes. basically because Hayes recommends the closure of Omagh hospital but the keeping open of Fermanagh hospital.
SF you oppurtunist bastards.
Or Liverpool at least. They cut back on services and made workers redundant because of rate capping.
Now thats the revolution in action.
except a bit of opportunist posing.
1. Magneto get your history right. YOu will find that was as a result of the actions of the Tories primarily. ANd Militant did argue against that particular line taken by the Labour Council. In fact Militant had a minority of Labour councillors in Liverpool but a majority of lefts in Labour.
2. The SP have played a crucial role in the anti war movement. The SP members are active in the various IAWM local groups and in the steering committees. SP members have also been active in their workplaces and unions in organising opposition to the war.
Sinn Fein was in a minority in the Stormont Cabinet and also argued against the cuts.
So the SP by their own reasoning are no longer in a position to criticise Sinn Fein on this issue.
SF did not really launch a genuine attack against cuts.
Why did SF not mobilse its membership against cuts?
Why didnt they organise a General Strike.
Come now GK, you cant have one set of rules apply to the SP and another to the SP. I'm in neither party but I find your double standards amusing.
In the ROI the Labour Party were never in a majority either.
