issued before the Government Buildings, Dublin, 22 March 2003, @6pm
This Declaration rekindles the Spirit of Irish Resistance, and calls upon all who will uphold Law and Justice to sign the Pledge of Resistance to offer themselves for direct action against the Warmachine of the US/UK Aggressors worldwide and/or offer moral or material support to those of the Resistance who can and will do so. Violence against persons is explicitly disallowed.
1. The present position of Ireland regarding the lead up to and now entry into this War of Aggression is crystal clear - the spineless, mercenary and hypocritical Irish Government stands in open Defiance of and Rebellion against the people of this Nation, the Law of this Nation and International Law. Each member of it has vilely betrayed their oath of office and made manifest their utter contempt for this people, and we reassure them that the feeling is mutual. We do not call upon but ORDER the Irish Government to immediately comply fully with the Constitution of this Republic (Art. 28.3) and the established principles of International Law, or, if they will not serve this People and this Republic according to the Law, to resign en-masse and go lick the boots and anatomies of their foreign imperialist masters in the quiet seclusion of their respective nuclear bunkers in Washington and London, and thus spare us the further public performance of such nauseating political pornography. If they prefer neither of the above, a third option remains, namely, that each individual member of this Government be dealt with according to the laws regarding Treason and face the prospect of spending a sizeable chunk of the future warming the bars of a cell with their teeth. Regime-change begins at home!!
2. We call upon the judicial system of Ireland to recognise and uphold the precedence of precepts of International Law over the domestic Law of the Nation of Ireland, as established at the Nuremberg Tribunal Hearings of 1945-46, namely "Individuals have duties which transcend the national obligations of obedience. Therefore [individuals] have the duty to violate domestic laws to prevent crimes against peace and humanity from occurring." To further recognise that direct physical action against the Aggressor´s Warmachine is required from and indeed a duty of the citizens in order to stop the criminal support which this government has offered to the Aggressor in the commission of this Warcrime now ongoing. That you should revoke and drop current prosecutions, completely exonerate, commend and release those people of outstanding moral character who have taken the initiative, shown the courage and integrity and a profound respect for law and human life which is so transparently lacking in the current mendacious government, by their acts of decommissioning the War-Materials of the Aggressor passing through our territory en-route to the slaughter of the hapless intended victims. These heroes of the Resistance are the Political Prisoners of a criminal government engaged in an illegal War; they are Prisioners of Conscience and Prisoners of War and we proudly salute and support them totally for their timely reminder that we should never submit to the villainy of those in Government, neither in this country nor any other.
3. We call upon the Armed Forces of the Republic of Ireland to fulfill their duty to defend the territorial integrity and sovereignty of this Nation from occupation by the Armies of belligerent and aggressive Imperialist Powers now stationed on our soil, and to free the land, water and airspace of, around and over this Republic from all and any incursions by those foreign armed forces.
4. We call upon the Garda Siochana to take note of the higher principles of International Law which precede the laws of the Nation of Ireland, and to forthwith cease and desist from the any intimidation, maltreatment and derogation of the law-abiding citizens of this State who are forced and provoked by the present Government to break some minor law of this land in order to hinder and prevent major crimes against peace, war crimes and crimes against humanity being committed against foreign nations. Remember, you guardians of the law, you are each a free moral agent with your own conscience - the lapidary defence of "I´m only doing my job, taking my orders" found no creedence at Nuremberg and is equally invalid here. If you want a lawless and violent JungleWorld, then follow this government, if not then decide the best course of action for yourself personally. It is explicitly NOT your job to protect the criminals at the head of government from the application of the Law. Let it be applied fairly and equally to all.
4. We call upon the soldiery of Britain and the US to follow the heroic example of the Israeli Refuseniks, currently numbering 527 individuals, who have had the decency and courage to refuse their illegal and immoral orders to starve, torture, crush and kill the Palestinian Population of the gigantic concentration camps also known as the Occupied Westbank and Gaza Strip, and have preferred prision sentences over complicity in the crimes of their Government. You soldiers should know that the respective leadership of your Nations has led your country astray, along a barbaric Warpath of Aggression in arrogant and insolent defiance of the will of all Nations, and that the consequences of continuing with such unbridled crime will be to invite the legitimate retaliation against your homelands from those whom your Leaders have now determined to destroy and other Nations whom they wish to target in the future.
5. We notify the criminally insane Leaders of the US/UK Regimes of Aggression that they have 24 hours as and from now to remove their Troops and Weaponry from the land, sea and airspace of the Republic of Ireland, or suffer the logical consequences. You do not have the support of Ireland, only of the lickspittle lackey lieutenants to your power who head the government here, and they will very shortly be pushed adrift from the shores of this country in the wrecked remains of any part of your Warmachine remaining here after the expiration of this deadline. As and from right now you will strike the name of Ireland from any list of purported supporters of your crimes, and never dare insult the intelligence of this People nor usurp the name of this Nation again.
6. We condemn the craven complicity demonstrated by Annan, Blix and the so-called ´Weapons Inspectors´ in bending over backwards every step of the way to facilitate the charade mounted to justify the current aggression. These tame cowards and infiltrated spies have betrayed every principle they claimed to stand for and have taken their orders direct from the centres of Aggression, even to the extent of pulling out of Iraq before the commandment came through from Washington. They have abandoned the Iraqi People and the heroic Human Shields to the tender mercies of the Butchers of Baghdad, Bush and Blair, without even the faintest sigh of protest.
7. We call finally upon the Citizens and whole population of Ireland to reject the craven and mercenary mindset prevailing in the Government and large sections of the pusillanimous commercial media and to join in this Resistance to the criminal energy and flagrant corruption of the conspiritors leading the present Government. To be mindful of the great price paid in the life´s blood of heroes to free this Nation from the savage yoke of Foreign Tyranny, under which these traitors would now reposition us, and to have the courage and integrity to stand up for the principals upon which this proud and free Nation was established, to sign this Pledge of Resistance and do their utmost as individuals and collectively to free Ireland from the bloodstain of complicitly in the continuing Warcrime of Aggression and to assist the people of all other nations in following such example.
