Is the Grassroots Network Against War organising a Shannon demo for the 30th?? Rumours abound but nothing formal out there. Wouldn't GNAW want to get its act together? What happened at 4th gathering anyway? Useless outfit.

If all of you out there are so quick to critise people who actually got off their arses and risked injury and arrest have some bright ideas of a shannon demo get out there and get the job done, otherwise keep your mouths shut please. I'd love to see a few hundred out there to do it and suceed this time. It can happen and we have the moral high now after today's slaughter.

Hey, Chris, there WERE a few hundred on March 1st and (without rehashing old arguments) it was a poorly organised fuckup. Are you suggesting that ACTIVE and serious anti-war activists just go along with that sort of rubbish again? We ARE off our arses and doing things, but that doesn't mean we have to lose our sense for things. GNAW has yet to prove itself capable of doing anything.

They scared people away from Shannon with tall tales about the Gardai and Army firing into an unarmed crowd.

Joe Higgins, Poitician, proved his reformist credentials by rteffering to GNAW as 'Virtual Wariorrs'. This was at the same time as GNAW was face to face with the Gardai and 10 of us were arrested.

Direct Action has driven 3 US airline companies working for the US Airforce out of Shannon. The sppeechs of IAWM politicians has achieved zilch.
