Critical Mass and Reclaim The Streets 2002

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Wednesday May 08, 2002 00:26author by Daithi Mac Sithigh - Trinity FMauthor email macsithd at tcd dot ie Report this post to the editors

26 photos compiled by Trinity FM working with Indymedia - covering the day's events right from the very start with the Critical Mass cycle. Short audio clips also available.

The "crossPurpose" project combines audio, photo and text. I had gone as an Indymedia reporter to the demonstration and planned on using the footage I recorded in a future documentary. A photographer was also there on behalf of Trinity FM gathering images for our website.

Given the serious nature of what transpired, however, myself and my colleagues have worked to compile five short reports (three including limited audio - my equipment received a bang of a baton and not much of the recording was useful), and post them on the Web. Twenty-six images are included, as well as the controversial series of images depicting the removal of Indymedia reporters from the scene of the demonstration.

The five reports are: Critical Mass, Reclaim the Streets, Carnival Atmosphere, The Car, and Injuries. Each reduced-size image here is from one of these reports, click on the link to see the full selection.
