Photo evidence
A photographer working for a Trinity FM web project captured the following shot of a Garda clearly removing the ID number from his shoulder. This is the first of a set of photos captured by our photographer that back up many of the allegations made on this site and elsewhere.

This article was edited at the request of the photographer, subsequent to comments made below. The circle shows the actual numbers; the flap has been unbuttoned.
No video of this incident is available, but other videos show Gardai without identification, and it is clear that those without ID were not a small minority.

no need to get over-dramatic or anything.....it really may actually be nothing at all except to scratch his elbow......don't think it's real evidence to be honest
is there any video footage of any of this?
reclaim the streets, Dublin may 6th, ive never seen so many coppers without their numbers....... some of them reckoned that this was o.k and that they didnt "have to wear their numbers". I think this is quite scary, will they wear masks next?
