Jump To Comment: 1 2 3 4Yeah all the very general stugg on Palestine posted to the newswire (from both sides) has just served to drive out Irish material. Some like the appeal for photos for those arrested at the Shannon direct action are pretty important.
There is nothing wrong with Irish indymedia including Irish material written about Iraq,. Palestine etc but the simple multiple reposting of very general stuff that can be got elsewhere is simply an abuse of indymedia.ie.
Yeah it is a bit annoying, but a) it is called 'open publishing' and anyone can use it, b) that's a good thing c) it is the internet, there are no borders in cyberspace.
also d) someday IRL-IMC will have new backend publishing system where editors can categorise posts which will will help things be more relevant, uncluttered and without censoring - if you like this idea, then people should join the tech-mailing list and get involved.
