Postcards For Bertie . . .

Let a T.D. know where your heart is this St. Patrick's Day

There exists in Ireland a proud tradition of postcarding the world to remind them that it is time for paddys day parties again ( . . . or maybe just to remind them that they can celebrate all they want but it was ours first . . . I'm not quite sure). This is our time of the year, the time the world - if not conceding that they are actually paying us any real attention - at least casts a vacant glance in our direction. So what will people see, what image will focus in the minds of those who look towards this proud, free and fair, emerald doormat.

This year let us lend our voice to Dáil Éireann and show them we care this St. Paricks' Day. Let us all send a post card to a T.D. letting them know ONE BY ONE where each of our hearts lie. Let us lower the screen and let our governing administration see the proud image of Ireland that they have created.

The idea behind this is to take the petition side of the communication process (or lack of such) to a more personalised level. They say that their democracy works. If this is true then it is ours. Yet they continue to ignore us. Let them have this chance to prove their idea of democracy works. They don't seem to be able to understand or digest our petitions so let's break it down for them, and spell it out letter by letter.

I am not a member of any political or anti war group, I speak for myself, I support each and every non-violent opposition to war. I must thank the IAWM for hosting the file for download on their website. They also have posters for "DAY X" available to download.

The card can be downloaded at http://irishantiwar.org/paddys-day/

This card is designed for photocopying front and back. If you would like to distribute some you, and everyone you know, have full rights to copy as many times as you wish. There are 2 per A4 sheet, set up with all content towards the centre of each half to compensate for any clipping from A4 printers/photocopiers.
