A young American woman held political prisoner in Peru
This beautiful young woman looks innocent to me, but the Peruvian government has locked her up and thrown away the key.

Peru's actions are an absolute disgrace, in my opinion.

the case against 'beautiful' lori is actually pretty strong. clearly her sentence is over the top but she was pretty well nailed as part of a tupac conspiracy to attack the Peruvian parliament. everybody in the states, particularly hr painfully bourgeios family, likes to point to the legal system as a joke and the fact that Peru is essentially a fascist dictatorship, but nevertheless it would appear that she is innocent only if being involved in facilitating an attack on the parliament is ok. like all political prisoners everywhere she should be released but innocence is a different ball game entirely.
and by the way Avi, on another story youre slamming the provos as fascists but calling for the release of 'beautiful' Lori, are you smoking crack?

And what does guilty look like?
bimbo, you really are sick. If you had taken the trouble give Lori's web site more than a cursory glance, you would have found that, in all likelihood, Lori was a naive, idealistic woman who made friends with people she had no idea were guerillas. No evidence was ever produced that she helped the tupacs: it was just that she lived in the same apartment building for a while.
The only thing that interests you is that I called her beautiful. Instead of looking at the facts, you just assumed that my interest in her was due to some infatuation. Also, the fact that her family is 'bourgeois' in your eyes seems to mean that she doesn't deserve justice, and that somehow they deserve to suffer. That's why I say you are sick: you are obviously incapable of feeling compassion in this case. All you can see are your own prejudices. Frankly, your attitude revolts me.
As a matter of fact, we should also spare a thought for the thousands of ordinary Peruvians who have suffered a similar fate to Lori.
Heads on sticks! Heads on sticks! How do I get to the train station. Turn right at Mary Harney, make a left at Michael Mcdowell and it's just across the road from Bertie Ahern. Heads on sticks! Heads on Sticks!
Since she was locked up ive heard and read plenty about Lori actually. i live in the usa and when there are not long winded fluff pieces about her on community radio there are editorials in the wall st journal or other similarly inclined establishment organs. the bourgeois bit refers to this, her release by the brown barbarians has been endorsed by everyone from the state dept to madison ave. now this has little or nothing to do with her 'naivety' or her 'innocence', but it has plenty to do with her class origin. were lori a balck man from oakland radicalised through move or the panthers who went to latin america to fight the power his parents letters would be unlikely to appear in the times or their voices be heard on channel 13. the naivety defense appeals only to this aspect of her story, a graduate idealist who arrived in peru filled with innocent enough notions of 3rd wld revolutioin who fell in with a bad crowd who then manipulated and used her for their sordid teroristic ends.
that her own politics are more radical and thoughfull doesnt detract from the racist bullshit put forth by her defenders here in the US, and now i assume from your diatribe, in ireland too. lets not be too naive Avi, and give her some credit. the hope for her release lies not in this fallacy of her manipulation by others, but in a Peruvian rejection of the validity of Fujinoros anti terror laws. now that tupac and luminosa have been done in this is likely to be the outcome. as for your infatuation, well now, Avi doth deny too much.
I don't know where youse are getting the idea she is beautiful from.Go have a toss and come back and try saying she is.
Schwanz, you are an idiot.
Schwanz, you are an idiot.
Bet ya if she was an Arab (what youse call Palestinians) you wouldn't be whinging. But you are right, she is a babe...and probably innocent also.
