Major anti-war protest in South-East as part of National day of action against the war
The Waterford branch of the Irish-Anti War Movement have organised a major protest on Saturday 8th. The march is just one of several around the country on that day as part of a national day of action against the war.
The protest will assemble in the Glen at 2.30pm and make its way to Red Square for an open air concert and speeches from representatives of several organisations and individuals including Waterford Council of Trade Unions, SIPTU, SWP, Sinn Fein, Green Party, WIT Students Union, ATGWU, and award winning playwright, Jim Nolan will read anti-war poetry.
