Big anti-war meeting in Galway

230 people attended Monday night's public meeting organised by the Galway Alliance Against War. The media presence, both local and national, was substantial. War is not inevitable, was the clear message from platform speakers, Denis Halliday and Michael D. Higgins. If enough of us rally on 15 February, the warmongers may yet be stopped. People were eager to go on the Dublin, to assist with banner-making, and to get involved in other ways.
