Any resistance present overthere?

Hey everybody! I just wanted to know if somebody has an idea of what is going on in Carrickmines = carrickminders / resistance / ....

The actual excavation has ended last friday which means the N.R.A. and Ascom (the building company)have now the green light to do whatever they feel like = destroy the site and build their fucking road.
Try to contact the media / speak about this situation around you / make it change.
At the moment, everybody in Ireland is in strike, protesting,... but the government doesn' t listen to us and just follow the selfish point of view that suits really well to these cowards. If, as it' s called, we are in a democracy, we have the power = let' s show them how we feel things and how determined we are to get something done.

Ya Basta

Well.
Today three more people including myself were injuncted. We had our photos taken and were told we were in contempt of court and had to leave today. Tonight is the first night in a long time the place has been unoccupied.

Now most of the core group cannot go back.

Antone else who goes will be served an injunction eventually.

On the bright side we have a legal side of things goiing ahead and hopefully we will be seeing results of this soon.

The Carrickminders have done a lot. Thanks to the occupation there have been 5 more months of digging for the archeologists. Many finds would have been lost.
The issue of the castle has recieved loads of publicity thanks to the occupation, from the press, politicians and the EU.
For now it's time to step back I guess and see how the legal side of things goes.
Unless there are any potential new carrickminders reading this : )
